Course description:

Beginning Piano for experienced students is for 7-10 year olds (grades 1-4) with a background in piano. Students will continue with piano and music concepts in a fun, low-pressure, cooperative learning environment. We’ll develop skills in rhythm, notation, improvisation, repertoire, technique and music theory through music-making activities and games. The Faber Primer Lesson Book will be our main reference material. Availability of a keyboard at home is highly recommended as well as parental support in completing an age-appropriate, weekly practice goal.

Teacher bios:

Justin Miera are Graland drama and music teachers. He has been teaching private, group, and classroom music for many years. His approach is to provide an enjoyable, supportive environment that draws on student interests and skill development to help children grow in their ability to play, and their love of music.
